Men’s Fellowship

Due to the inclement weather, Men’s Fellowship will be held at the Church at 8:00 am tomorrow morning, instead of the outdoor trip to Wally’s. We will reschedule the trip to Wally’s Fishing Hole at a future time.

Also, we have cancelled the trip to help Beverly Glynn-Steffanauer canvass the neighborhoods until which time the weather improves.

Help for one of us

Beverly Glynn-Steffanauer is running for a City Council position in Pasadena. She needs our help. We need young and not so young to come to the Church Saturday at 8am sharp. We will shuttle to Pasadena and canvass for a couple of hours.

We will bring this experience back to Sheldon and reach our community for Jesus. How about it? We you help?

Karen Doney

For those who might not be aware, Karen broke her hip a few days ago and is in need of surgery. She is awaiting test results to improve before the surgery can be done. She is in much pain. She covets your prayers. She is currently in East Houston Regional. PRAY PRAY PRAY!

Kids & Youth Camp/Fiesta Dinner March, 25

Anybody interested in sponsoring a child or youth for camp this year? Last year Cathedral of Praise helped 15 children attend camp and they had a blast. Please contact John or Lynda Brown if you want to help send a child/youth to camp this year. The district has already been receiving registrations for campers and we would like to secure spots for our kids because there is limited space. Kids camp is $120 and youth camp $150, a $70 deposit is due for each child by April, 1.

We will be having a Fiesta fundraiser dinner Wednesday March, 25 at 7 p.m.  All proceeds raised will help pay for the camps. The tickets are $7 each. There will be games and grocery prizes. Please plan on attending.

Mission Pledge Sunday

We are all familiar with the Great Commission; Matthew 28:19-20 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

It is a charge to every Christian to become involved in Missions. We are all Missionaries when we accept Christ. He wants us to help His cause by being a good witness. You may just be the only Bible that some people have an opportunity to read. Another way to become involved in Missions is to support others who are sent out with our prayers and financial support.

Sunday morning Superintendent J.P. Granberry will receive our Mission Pledges for the year. After our tithe, each of us should pray and ask the Lord how we may help the many workers in the vineyard by giving a one-time or monthly pledge.

God is blessing! Give and it shall be given unto YOU!

Sunday evening Rev. Ronny Granberry will present a message on the Power of Pentecost.

Make this Sunday a priority. Come to bless and be blessed,

Pastor Ronnie

Two urgent prayer requests

Harold Doney’s mother, Sis. Opal, has been given a report that there is a 95% probability that she has cancer in both lungs.

Evangelist Reed Gipson has been sent home from the hospital with inoperable aneurisms.

In the natural these appear to be impossible tasks to be undertaken. That’s why we depend on Jesus, the One who heals SUPERNATURALLY.

“Lord Jesus, we need a miracle. Opal needs a complete healing in these lungs where a report shows cancer. Lord, remove any sign or symptom of any tumor or shadow of abnormality in these lungs. It is in Jesus’ wonderful name that we pray, AMEN!”

“Jesus, you love your servant Reed Gipson. He has dedicated his life to serve you. Honor him Lord with a healing from on high. Open up the blood flow and dissolve any indication of blood stoppage causing aneurisms. Only you sweet Jesus can heal him. Do it again Lord. In that name above all others, JESUS!”
