Mother’s Day

Sunday is a Nationally recognized special day to honor Mothers. We realize that moms are the driving force in families year round, but we pay tribute on this particular day. Our men are serving a wonderful meal after the 11am service. Don’t fight those long restaurant lines, stay and eat with us as we celebrate these special ladies. Country Christian Singing

The next Country Christian Singing at Cathedral will be next Friday, May 15th, from 7:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. There will be an intermission from 8:15 – 8:45 and there will be a concession stand open. The event is FREE, and we will take up a love offering to help our musicians. These our some of the most gifted men who have been inducted into various Hall of Fames.

Youth / Kid’s Fundraiser

As I sit in my office here at the Children’s Assessment Center I am reflecting on how blessed I am. On this very day 30 years ago I started the police academy. God has seen fit to overshadow me and carry me through some very challenging circumstances to a place of utter amazement.

I have been afforded the opportunity to shepherd some of His choice children. I looked over that packed fellowship hall last evening and remembered how just a few short years ago we only had a few people gathering at Cathedral. But then God blessed and has been adding to the Church daily. What an awesome job Bro. and Sis Brown and all of the support staff did to host such a great “Fiesta Party” fundraiser.

This was a major means to help fund our Youth and Kid’s Programs. We are still in need of sponsors to help the kids and youth go to camp this summer. This is a great way to not only show your support, but to invest in the spiritual future of the next generation. See Bro. John Brown if you would like to sponsor a young person.

GAME NIGHT

Men’s Fellowship

Due to the inclement weather, Men’s Fellowship will be held at the Church at 8:00 am tomorrow morning, instead of the outdoor trip to Wally’s. We will reschedule the trip to Wally’s Fishing Hole at a future time.

Also, we have cancelled the trip to help Beverly Glynn-Steffanauer canvass the neighborhoods until which time the weather improves.

Help for one of us

Beverly Glynn-Steffanauer is running for a City Council position in Pasadena. She needs our help. We need young and not so young to come to the Church Saturday at 8am sharp. We will shuttle to Pasadena and canvass for a couple of hours.

We will bring this experience back to Sheldon and reach our community for Jesus. How about it? We you help?
