Paris Police Department investigators have released the names of the persons involved in the fatal traffic accident Wednesday on Bonham Street.
The accident involved an automobile and a man on a bicycle.
Richard Davenport, 78, of Paris died of injuries sustained in the collision shortly before 7 a.m. Wednesday in the 1200 block of Bonham Street. Davenport was struck by another vehicle as he was riding his bicycle.
The driver of the vehicle was identified as Alfred Zermeno of the Lamar County area.
Investigators said the circumstances surrounding the cause of the accident are still under investigation.
The vehicle and the bicycle were both eastbound on Bonham when the man on the bicycle apparently turned in front of the car.
Davenport was pronounced dead at the scene.
Elsie Barker, Women’s Ministries Director for Cathedral of Praise, would like to get the word out on a special project for this coming Sunday.
The WMs are having a “Pie and Cake Auction” after the morning service. In an effort to serve everyone who will most probably be hungry after the service, the ladies are giving a
“free Bar B Que sandwich and trimmings to everyone who STAYS FOR AND PARTICIPATES in the Pie and Cake Auction”.
There will be no take-outs and the meal is for those who will bid and participate in the auction to raise funds for the Women’s Ministry at the Church.
Thanks in advance and see you at the Singing tonite.
