Kid’s Camp

Ten kids are signed up to go to KID’s Camp July 14-18. We will be driving our new COP Shuttle Bus!!!! We plan to leave the church early Monday, July 14, around 7 a.m.  Don’t forget your Bible, pen or pencil, towels, wash cloths, toothbrush & toothpaste, comb, single bed sheets or sleeping bag, pillow & pillow case, light, jacket, sleeping garments, swimsuit & cover-up (dark colored t-shirt), 2 pair of tennis shoes, water socks, practical camp clothing, two changes of clothes per day, other needed toiletries, spending money, flashlight, sunscreen, bug repellant, and a backpack to carry towels around. Campers play wet games during morning & afternoon activities.

Plan to have a good time!!!! Parents and church members please be praying for the safety of the campers, good health (especially for the sponsors), and for the kids to learn more about Jesus.

We want to thank everyone who has generously donated money for Kid’s Camp. Without you generous support, it would not be possible.

Door Prizes – Help

Those of you have attended our recent Singins have noticed that we have given away such door prizes as $40 Pappas Restaurant Gift Card, CDs, Dinner for Two at El Tejano, Chiropractic massage at Rudolph Chiropractic, etc. I want to thank Sally, Pat, Joe, Betty, and the vendors who have graciously donated these items.

I need your help…The door prizes are an added attraction to our Singin event. Please help us find other items for the July 18th Singin. If you will ask the businesses you frequent they will most likely help. I appreciate anything you can do.

July 18th Singin’

 fri-july-18                HERE IS THE FLYER

Once again we will have our monthly Singin’. By moving the event to Friday, we were able to gain many folks that came from the local Oprys in town and DOUBLED our attendance. I hope you will copy the flyer and invite some friends. Local businesses where you trade will usually let you hang a flyer in their window to advertise if you will only ASK. So ASK! This is a great avenue to introduce visitors to our Church family and they may be looking for a home.

This Sunday

Sunday we will share in Communion. We will begin a new endeavor starting this month. The 1st Sunday of the month will be designated as the time to celebrate Birthdays for the month. We will also have a fundraiser meal on each 1st Sunday.

Brother Pat Smith will coordinate the meal which consists of Ham, potato salad, veggies, and desserts. Please help us raise much needed funds for our various departments and come to fellowship with your Church family. We are asking for a donation of $6.00 for adults, and $3.00 for children.

Please remember all in need of prayer. Sisters Elsie (foot surgery), Selma (fall), Bonnie (knee surgery to be done Wed. morning), Karen (total healing from cancer) and Brothers Charlie, Darrell, Zack, and Charles Davenport for the homegoing of his brother, Harold.

What a weekend

fri-june-20It was a great pleasure to be a part of the Renewing of Wedding Vows with Pat and Connie Smith and their great family. The Lord was there. How inspiring it was to hear so many good words spoken about the impact Pat and Connie have had on so many people. We are blessed to have them in our Church family. Pat’s cousin did a tremendous job on the Catfish and Chicken Dinner. Forty years and pressin’ forward!

Rev. Gene Summers preached his heart out on Saturday evening and challenged us on Father’s Day. It was great to hear how awesome God is to save this young man from Channelview and raise him up to reach so many. It was great to see Sis. Monia. She makes Geno look good!

I can’t say enough about the Father’s Day meal. The ladies out-did themselves. Dumplins, smothered steaks, meatballs, you name it! We have the BEST COOKS IN TEXAS right in our Church.

Please remember the singin this Friday. Try and make copies and spread the word.

In His love and service,

Pastor Ronnie

Pray

Our dear Brother Joe Diggs came through his knee replacement surgery successfully today. You can call to congratulate him at St. Joseph Hospital. He will be there a few days. Praise the Lord!

Sis. Selma Lafield needs your prayer regarding some very painful spots on her face that have to be surgically removed.

Pray for my son, Zack, as he is seeking deliverance from bondage.

Lets pray for our revival services with Rev. Gene Summers this Saturday (7pm) and Sunday (11am).

In His love and service,

Pastor Ronnie
